Perish Project: painting 63,000 thumbprints for lost souls

Monday through Friday at 5 p.m. ET, 2 p.m. PT, 12 midnight EEST/IST time, please join me on Facebook Live as I work on The Perish Project, a multi-canvas acrylic endeavor which documents the passing of individuals who have perished during the Gaza Israel war, since October 7, 2023, forward.

I use my thumbprint in tan (adult) or gray (child) paint, and press it onto the canvas in remembrance of the life of a person who has perished.

No labels as to whether they were considered Israeli, Palestinian, Migrant, Journalist, International Volunteer or Others …

… Whether they perished from explosives, bullets, while as a hostage, from famine, due to age, chronic illness or disability.

Please join me and use this time to contemplate the magnitude of this tragedy.

I have currently completed over five thousand impressions, with over 58,000 to go.

It seems impossible. But it must be done.
